Campbell and the Cat

These were taken almost a year ago and really like the light in these. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post- I'm rounding up some of my favorite expressions/classic shots of all the kiddos!

Babies and Brothers

In the past month I've had the privilege of photographing two new baby boys and their brothers! They were both so sweet and I'm hoping I get a chance to photograph them again in the near future.

And just for fun:
my little girl with curls... a couple of days before strep throat hit the house- yes we went to the doctor today and had an oh so wonderful throat culture done.

Sick Day

Okay, I was sitting at home browsing POTD posts, playing with pictures and looking at a certain message board, not doing what I should be doing (folding laundry, cleaning kitchen, various other tasks) and I got the phone call from mom's day out that Campbell was running a low grade fever. So of course she looked all cute and cuddly up on mom's bed watching Scooby Doo and then fell asleep that I couldn't help but get a few pictures of her- on the first two I ran Jess's white chocolate action and added her blankie (kiki) color back in. On the last one I used Tori's mutedxp3 action. As requested here are a couple of shots of the little boy from yesterday that were taken recently- has he changed? I haven't done a recent session with his sister yet- we probably will in the next few weeks.

My Best Models

These two are my best little models- also children of some of my good friends. These shots were actually taken almost three years ago!
Thank you everyone who has helped me with CC- I'm going to be on the look out for a good reflector- hmm- maybe I can find one I can attach to my back and come up over my head- that might make those shy ones laugh!

Cute Kids in the Mist!

Took some darling photos today of my good friend's kiddos. It was great overcast light (no squinty eyes) but then it started to mist! Of course after we decided to come back another time the rain stopped and the sun peeked through!

I wanted to give her a sneak peek at a few I've edited so far. Comments are welcome and encouraged!
We had a hard time getting Miss H to smile!

Guess Answer and Blooming Things (Children and Flowers)

Yes, technically it was a saw blade, but it was also an instrument! We saw this guy at earth fest and he had turned all of these items into his own drum set! A refrigerator shelf, skillet, saw blades, etc...

Now here are the ones I took at the flower nursery today...

ISO: 400, 1/400 SS, F/5.0

ISO 400, SS 1/320, F/11

ISO 400, SS 1/400, F/13

ISO 200, SS 1/500 F/5.6

ISO 400, SS 1/320, F/9

ISO 800, SS 1/400, F/8

Had a good time snapping away at the flower nursery although I think the girls were torturing the patrons! The ones I took on the trikes didn't turn out that well, but I'll keep working on them. Please give me some honest CC if you have any. The first one of the group has a retro action ran on it.

Guess #2

Here is tonight's what is this picture?

Okay, most of you smarties guessed the one from yesterday- A Sea Lion! Here's a couple more of him plus a few more of the kids at the zoo.

I'd like your opinions on the third shot down- her face was initially fairly dark and I lightened the shadows to brighten it- do you guys like this shot? I thought it was kind of neat with the tree leaves glistening in the sun behind her.
