Me and Mom

Mother's Day will always be bittersweet for me. On my first Mother's day as a mother, my own mother passed away after battling multiple sclerosis for many years. My father had died the year previously and after he died it was almost as if she gave up entirely. The disease not only effected her physically but mentally as well. I found this picture today so I could post it to honor her- she is the one that I can thank for my photography skills and interest. She was always snapping photos of me and my sister so this now lives on in me. Thanks mom!

Morgan

I've written about Morgan on my other blog but I wanted to just post again for the record that she is such a sweetheart. She is a great helper and I appreciate her so much. For the most part she does things asked of her without complaining and with a good attitude. I get teary eyed on a pretty usual basis when I drop her off at school.

This week has been a hard week for me theme wise. My mom and grandmothers have passed away, my sister lives in Chicago, so I'm kind of out here by myself. I have dear friends but all of whom would be horrified for me to post their picture! So tonight I took advantage of a fresh haircut and some golden light to do a mini photo shoot of Morgan. They are a little grainy but I was trying to make the most of fading light! Thanks for looking! I used Ren's and Jess's actions on all of these.

Oh and PS if you haven't made Pioneer Woman's apple dumplings- go there now and find the recipe- they are awesome! www.thepioneerwoman.com

Cheers to Important Women

These are my daughters. My beautiful, rascally, sweet, stubborn, independent, fun, crazy, drive me crazy daughters. I was born to be their mom and they keep me going- I live for them! We might not have an easy life but without them life would not be worth living! Sure I might be able to get a few moments peace, but life would be empty. I took this shot of them today after church toasting "cheers" during their picnic lunch. Cheers to Women!
