My Other Two Sweeties

My other two sweet valentines- once again high ISO (1600) taken by North Window. I appreciate constructive criticism and welcome it- I want to learn!

My CC is totally from an amateur standpoint but I'll try: I think the exposure looks great and you got great catchlights. In the second one it looks like the focus fell more on her hair than her face, and in the first one there's a bit of a red cast on the right side of her face from her shirt, which I think you could remove in Photoshop. The poses look very natural and sweet. They're beautiful girls!

hmm- now that I look at the first one's face a little closer I'm thinking it might be Valentine's day candy stains!

What sweeties they are too.

as for the cc I would agree with becky (But I too am an amateur at this cc stuff). The focus on the second one looks focused on her bangs. The 1st looks a little red to me..

Great poses tho and angle of the shot on the second.

For CC it would help to know your SS and aperture as well! I think for 1600 ISO they are pretty crisp, but I would definitely run them through noiseware...just don't increase the luminance supression too much because that's what will make their skin look plastic. I would also dodge the catchlights in the eyes a bit to make them pop (that is total opinion though!!) Beautiful and sweet looking children!!!

Your girls are beautiful! (but you don't need ME to tell you that, lol!) I love their sweet expressions. My only tiny bit of cc I can think of is to watch out for your darker headed girls' hair to disappear into the dark background. I struggle with this too and a reflector placed on the darker side can really help throw that light back on to her and make her stand out from the background. But these are lovely photos! :)

What cute shots. I think the lighting looks good but the pictures look a little soft. Im still working at that crisp focus esp when photographing kids!
