I Have a Strong Willed Child

Makenna is a rascal. She is so funny. Today she made a huge mess in her room with game pieces and I told her that she had to clean it up or we couldn't go swimming this afternoon. She said "we can't clean it up we're just little kids" (referring to her and Campbell). But after the threat of no swimming she started to pitch in and get it cleaned up although there was lots of groaning involved. She finally got into the swing of things and then came to get me and showed me that she had made the beds. Although then she let it slip that older sister Morgan had made her bed and Makenna supposedly made Campbell's bed... hmm... So I snapped these photos of her on the newly made bed. Another funny story: it's been rainy here off and on so there have been some scattered sprinkles today so I said I had to look at the radar to know if we could swim or not (the clouds were pretty dark looking)- after a while had passed she told me to come outside and see the "miracle"- the dark clouds were gone!

Man I hear you on the strong willed child thing...my Haili is the worst!!! She questions everything and doesn't take no for an answer...when she is older that will be a good thing! Love your photos here...she is a ham!

My DD is VERY strong-willed, which helped her as a teen, because it gave her the strength to stand by her beliefs and not go with peer pressure. Be glad; it will be a blessing in the end.

Strong willed is not always bad, hard when they are little but better when they are older. She looks like such a sweetie in these shots.
